It is very important that parents attend all well-child visits such as check-ups with their children, and do not send a babysitter/nanny/childminder or anyone else in their stead. Apart from the breach of HIPPA regulations regarding confidentiality of patient data, it is essential that information about your child's health and development be communicated directly to you as their parent. This communication is at the heart of the service we provide for you as your child's pediatricians, and its importance to your child's welfare cannot be overstated.
We will not in future conduct such appointments unless one or both parents are present. If this policy causes you a specific problem, please discuss the circumstances with either physician beforehand.
Co-payments, Insurance Cards, Referrals, Cancellations & Forms
Co-pays must be paid at the time of service…they may not be billed to you, in accordance with the terms of your insurance contract.
Insurance cards are now scanned on each visit. Please be sure to bring your children’s current cards with you whenever you have an appointment.
Referrals require 48 hours advance notice, except in cases of genuine medical emergency.
Cancellations of appointments must be received at least twenty four hours in advance… otherwise a $25 “no-show” fee will be charged to your account.
Forms will incur a charge of $10 for each form requested ($20 for college forms due to their greater complexity).
